well, I am now an official resident of Brisbane and not enjoying it.

It can be said (and it would be quiet true) that I have only been here one week, and I currently have no job and live in a (much) less then awesome place (the qut campus) and due to my gap semester to work and save money I also don't start school till June.

I have however in this week, stumbled my way through to some basic level of understanding how public transport works, which I think is a pretty impressive feat. I have also met up with an old friend, ella, who turned out to be (not that I expected her to be any less) very awesome. I also found some okay second hand shops, albeit insanely expensive ones (NOT THE ONE IN QUEEN STREET MALL, that one is horrible!).

Ella said she is going to see frenzal rhomb in the next few weeks and hopefully I have a job by then and go, because that would be an excellent spirit lift.

Also I'M currently streaming the movie Milk with Sean Penn as Harvey Milk.
Its really good and makes me feel ridiculous for wasting the whole afternoon being full of self pity and using my remaining money (yes all of it) to buy hoards of food that I could try and eat in one afternoon.

The goal was to see if i could actually vomit from eating to much... so far not, but I do feel horrible.

More self pity for me because its valentines day, I know down with the man and mass consumerism and recycled selling out and cops outs, but Wayne is in new Zealand and its like everyone in Brisbane was walking around with someone looking at me thinking,
"hey... hey there purple hair.. all alone hey? oh yeah your probably a lonely desperate girl. yeah, you are, you purple hair." point being i would be missing him anyway with some arsehole pointing it out with his eyes and mocking my purple hair.

Anyway, I think I can get out of my lease here, and move into somewhere better (would not be hard), hopefully very soon.

Ill take some video footage of the apartments before I leave though, so you can lurk and see how sterile and lifeless it is here. Well due to my first time out of home flu my friday night consists of watching Milk with one of my roommates from fiji. Hope yours is better then mine.
